  2. Can you forget about the past and try to do things differently? Show your love and respect to him and win him over.

  3. I especially like numbers 4, 6, 9, and 11! It's so easy to forget how we felt when we were that age, but if we really try to, we do remember, and it helps us to know how to treat them. Good post!

  4. Like Ang, I love #14. We have to remember sometimes that kids will be kids. They don't always follow what we tell them to do but it doesn't mean they don't love us. It just means they're being themselves haha.

  5. I like #3 and #9. Let them be who they want to be. Hopefully you have given him a good example and so it should be ok to leave it up to him. And #9 Don't criticize him in front of others - a good point to remember. Might be hard to do in the moment but I can definitely see why this would be good to try work on.

  6. Such great advice. Everyone should take the time to consider these before speaking to their son (or daughter) harshly and keep these tips in the back of their mind.

  7. Thank you for sharing. Our hope for our son is that he believes with all of his heart that his parents love him & recognize him a blessing. I know that there will be times that we won't get along, but even during those times we love him.
